      oilers are not signing benning
      sign laggeson instead
also sign ennis hes better than almost everyone in our bottom 6

We arent qualifying Benning which means we arent giving him 2mil and he will be allowed to hear offers from other teams. However he is well worth a million. He's a very good bottom pair option

I will go back and add Ennis though.

So the special teams carried this team to any success this past season. So it’s a good idea not resign sheahan and then give away JJ who had the best pk % in the league for future consideration then not only send out two very useful pp players but pay a first to remove one that was able to provide 19 goals in half a season. No second round picks or third round picks for two years in a row. Ya I’m not feeling this plan

If you think Chiasson and Neal are going to help a PP more than Taylor Hall you're a moron.

If you think JJ is an NHL player you're wrong.

The PK had success because of the system not the players. They players are actually fairly replaceable. Haula can kill, Nuge and Archibald who killed a lot of minutes are still here, yamo can kill.

The special teams had to carry the team because 5v5 was terrible. this makes the 5v5 version of the team better so they arent required to lean on specials.

Im not feeling a "plan" that leans on Juhjar Khaira and 3rd round picks, if you are then more power to ya.

Moron? Oilers pp was hitting historical % with Chiasson and Neal in the fold. I don’t recall hall ever having that influence on the pp. they play a different role on it which is by far more suitable that what hall does. Hall can skate that’s not what made the pp good. Chiasson is a fantastic net front presence and I’d argue shooting Neal has a better shot and is capable of one timers which hall doesn’t. Hall is better overall player than them but I’d without question take both Neal and or Chiasson for oilers pp not even close

As a Wings fan, I'd accept that.

EDIT - Change that to a 1st next season, not 2022

If you're taking Chiasson and Neal over Hall on the PP, as you just said you are. Then yes, I think I used the right word. If you're trying to tell me they did anything other than stand infront of the net and bury rebounds and tap ins you're again wrong but this is a growing trend for you. If you think that they need someone to stand there and screen the goalie to be successful then Kassian can do that. Problem solved.

But Kass didn’t.... in any event I think this is a mess and terrible direction. If you find that offensive or something so be it sorry feel that way. Agree to disagree

Yes you have said that and your reasoning is to stick to what "worked" and lean on special teams players that are absolute garbage at 5v5 and cry about draft picks that are for the most part already gone anyway.

It doesnt offend me it just confuses me how someone could be so willingly ignorant of reality

So you remove and dismantle what did work and as mentioned in comments above that first being attached to Neal is for next year and say I’m ignorant of reality? Lol ok

Yes, if you think that leaning on a PP and PK to drag the team along is going to consistently work then you are completely out of touch. The goal should be to make the team better at 5v5 and again "dismantling" the special teams by getting of the 3 worst players on the roster is not going to cripple the specials in the way you seem to believe it will, those guys are all totally replaceable.

And you keep saying "it worked" well we were dragged by two players most of the season and got bounced in the qualifier by a 12 seed so I really dont think it did.

      Get a ****en grip man
