Offseason

Créé par: BoltsFan9186
Équipe: 2020-21 Maple Leafs de Toronto
Date de création initiale: 2 oct. 2020
Publié: 2 oct. 2020
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
Overpay for Nichuskin because I doubt the Avs want to give him up. Not a leafs fan but this is how I’d attack the offseason. Good team defense starts with the forwards so I added some good two way guys. Thoughts?

Leafs are not trading Mitch Marner, so that first trade is not happening (and if Columbus fans tell you they don't want that trade they're kidding themselves).

Not a good Canes trade, and no way Nichuskin is worth that. For a third liner?

That being said, I do think the Leafs could look to move that 2021 first rounder. Maybe for a goalie, maybe for a defender, maybe it's both, I don't know.

This is how I would run the offseason not what I expect to happen. I expect none of this lmao

Tampa seemed crazy for giving 2 firsts for Coleman and Goodrow and they won the cup. Gotta pay for the guys u need even if you lose in terms of value.

Leafs say no to the Blue Jackets. We don't need their depth overrated players

I don't think Canes would do this if it was just Martinook for Anderson.

Sure. How many teams gave up firsts at the deadline and didn't win the cup? Cherry picking results doesn't mean the process is good. The Leafs have much more pressing needs than 3rd line RW. The Lightning didn't. If the Leafs are moving a high pick, it needs to be for a defensive upgrade.

Columbus would be amazed by that trade, the issue is we can’t afford Marner without move a significant player out. Not many teams can’t afford to add a player like Marner value wise let alone cap wise as we all know that trade ain’t getting Marner.
