Description
Wouldn't look at making both moves..... which one would you prefer? Is this enough to get it done?

Palmieri is an expiring deal so it would be difficult to resign next offseason, but would be my preferred trade. Don't think Devils are getting a first for him but accept receiving two seconds when they don't have their own.

I think Vancouver would welcome Kulak as their LHD on the third pairing (beating our Juolevi). No 2nd round pick of their own so MTL is dealing from position of strength. Reports out of Van show interest in Domi. Resigning Boeser and Suzuki in same offseason seems daunting but Habs can trade Drouin or Byron in final year of their deals to make both work.

I think EITHER Palm or Boeser would fit in perfectly with Suzuki + Drouin/Tatar/Lehk

Palmerie likely gets NJ more in a rental trade at the deadline

Boeser would cost MTL more then that unless he came with a cap dump

Agreed. Any trade for Boeser starts with the 16th pick.

I would sweeten the package for NJ and try to get them to take Alzner. A 1st and a 2nd, with Alzner, for Palmieri?

I think odds are the Devils get a 1st for Palmieri at the deadline alone. Your traditional “top pending UFA deadline” trade: likely a 1st and prospect of some kind.

With that said, they wouldn’t need to take Alzner for a 2nd when they can get a 1st or better and be happy with that

i am sure they want to get rid of eriksson but that will cost them a ist rounder like it cost toronto for marleau but sometimes the cap space is worth it.

Boeser won't be part of a cap dump
