That’s not getting you Jones.... only way Columbus considers moving Jones is in a trade that includes Matthews or another number 1 center.

Your 4th line should be:
?-Brooks-Spezza.
The ? should also be making league minimum. We don't need players on our 4th line making 1 million+ when a 4th line of league minimum contracts will be just as effective and much more capfriendly (pun intended) in a flat cap world.

This way would can keep Kerfoot over trading for what imo is a downgrade at 3C.

Also Columbus doesn't take that imo

The only way they trade Jones is next year if he doesn't seem interested in re-signing.

Jones is a top 8 or 9 D man in the league on a darling contract. The ONLY thing that limits his value SOMEWHAT is that he only has 2 seasons left.

The only way the Leafs get Jones is if they give up Matthews which is not happening.
