Description

This AGM is based on rumors I've read on the internet sports pages combined with what some sports writers opinions are and trades/signings they suggest. I didn't pull the cap hit or the term out of the air; it's what the writers suggested any such deal would have to look like. This is just an exercise to see what this team would look like. There's no need for the usual "... will never sign in Detroit," "... will never waive his NTC" or "... wants to play for a contender." It's a given that all of those comments are applicable to most of these moves. The Werenski/Mantha trade was suggested on "winging-it-in-motown" linked at SB Nation.

Take more then Mantha for Zach Werenski, Columbus needs Centers not more wingers. Hall isn't wasting his time in Detroit he wants a contender not a rebuilding club. Markstrom for 6 x 6 i can possibly see.

FWIW no team is helping Tampa out of their cap issues, Tyler Johnson in now way is worth 2 2nd round picks. I wouldn't give more then a 3rd for him.

He doesn’t play C in TB much anymore, neither does Stammer for that matter. His play is going down hill fast, while a contender will prob pay a late 2nd/3rd for him, Det shouldn’t even consider it unless they’re getting a asset as well.

Tyler Johnson is Yzerman's kind of player, but I don't see Detroit paying that for him. Only if there's multiple contenders interested in him will he fetch that, and Detroit isn't a contender. TJ could end up in Detroit for Future Considerations though.

I completely screwed that citation up ... oops

. It was Jack Sznewajs of "winging-it-in-motown" linked at SB Nation. In his story he suggest packaging Mantha to acquire Werenski. Not having any clue what should be added to a Mantha for Werenski package I just did the one for one swap.
