Don't see how Edm could pass on that trade...

First of all, thats a horrible trade for the leafs. Second of all, Muzzin and Reilly would already be playing together if either could play on the right side but it just wont happen

Wow, so bad for Toronto to get one year of an average Dman. Now Johnson for Larson could be a fit.
Leafs would be 100 times better off....Offloading Johnsson for a 7th rounder, keeping Liljegren and a pick and signing a player like DeMelo for under 4m

Larsson must actually be Oliver Ekman-Larsson...now it makes sense, he just simply got confused!

Oilers will want a prospect and a pick for Larsson, that's the going rate for a RD who can play in your top 4. Liljegren and a 2nd seems fair - maybe it's a 3rd that turns into a 2nd if the Leafs resign Larsson, or maybe they agree an extension with him before pulling the trigger on the deal.

You say Johnsson is only worth a 7th rounder (which is maybe a bit harsh but he's not worth a lot), so I see him as a good throw-in to get the Oilers to pull the trigger, since we'd have to dump him anyway.

Seems like a lot of teams want DeMelo, he's going to get bid up in the UFA market and I can't see the leafs winning that bidding war. Larsson is a better fit - like a right-shot Muzzin-lite.

No team is giving up much for Larsson especially is no cap going back to Oilers.. Muzzin was probably the Leafs best Dman. Larsson just isn't that good to give up much. Leafs have plenty of average Dman that can play the right side. Leafs aren't going to give up much to get another middling Dman.
