I think all these calls get hung up on and you just fall back on the sensible thing and trade Goergiev to chicago for dylan strome. If you want to trade for eichel FYI you'll have to include your top center to start, sabres dont even have a legit 2nd line center (staal is it fir 1 year) so thanks for zibenajad and the 1st overall pick to start that conversation.

This trade is bad, but I wouldn’t do Zibanejad for eichel one for one with the flat cap. Too many other pieces the rangers need that extra 4+m in cap. Also, why give three years of lafreniere making next to nothing away on top of that.

I get what your saying but eichels worth every penny of his salary and is a legit talent that isnt just going to be available again. So if NYR want eichel thats how it starts a replacement 1c that's an actual 1c and a shot at an amazing player. Its not my fault Zib's is awesome and on a great deal and you won the lottery we can give you 8th overall back as change.....
