i mean were taking on a bad contract in rask. Still though Dumba is not what the leafs need at all. He is not good in the defensive zone and thats not good. What the leafs need is a dman who is a defensively minded guy who basically allows Rielly to go play offense more.

Fact is, with the no-move contracts to their other top 4 dmen, MIN have put themselves in a spot where they have to trade Dumba in the next year or risk losing him for nothing to Seattle.
He's also seen as a one-dimensional player, and is owed almost $6M per ($5.8 in actual $) for the next 3 yrs, in a flat cap where most owners are trying to slash payroll.

Sure, the Wild might end up with a better offer than this, but I think it's in the ballpark.

Kerfoot is a #3C at best and Guerin wants a Top 6 C for Dumba sorry it's not enough of a return.
