Description

If Lehner's reported deal is true (5x$5mm), then VGK is over the limit, and needs a minimum of 3 players to ice a team. Taking all of Fluery's caphit would cost VGK something significant, and VGK doesn't have any room to retain salary. DET would middle man this for a 2nd rounder and a 3rd rounder, and whichever goalie COL doesn't want (I believe that's Grubs..)

Could see something similar wtih Lundqvist.

I think this is pretty fair but I’m extremely biased in that in involves my two teams. Will be interesting to see how Colorado fans think of this swap.

I think this is very close to a fair trade IMO, and a realistic scenario to moving Fleury. Wondering if Wings can get Zadorov back from Colorado instead of the 3rd rd pick, since he seems to be odd man out. I could also see Carolina on the other end of a similar deal to this with Detroit retaining for assets.
