I think all of them are pretty realistic except DAL. Two bottom 6rs and a 2nd round pick in 2 years for a young kid who looks like he'll be a 30 goal scorer doesn't match.

Detroit would take that all day if our owner wanted to buy cap dumps.

Detroit has no interest in a 33 year old LD making 3 x $3.25m We don't need Jack Johnson he'd be on our bottom pairing right now and he makes way to much to be there.

While it's kind of a gamble, the 2022 Pens have a good chance of not being very good. Could very quickly become a lotto pick.

Yeah that pick could be sweet, We're slowly trying to get better. And Jack Johnson just really doesn't do anything for us.

It's actually a pretty affordable buyout cap space-wise if you do it after next season. If my team had the space, I'd be all over that.

As a Pittsburgh fan, I'm not big on any of these except for Detroit taking JJ. Letang/Pettersson > DeAngelo/Klefbom/Benning in my opinion. ZAR and McCann are two solid bottom six players. It doesn't make sense to me to use them to acquire a scoring forward who might or might not slot into the top 6 on the Penguins. Only 4 of Rust, Guentzel, Zucker, Kapanen, and Gurianov can fit, so who gets bumped down? If it's Kapanen, as the lineup suggests, Pittsburgh gave up a bunch of assets for a third line player.

Rangers decline. They want a top 6 center for DeAngelo not futures.

Two bottom six forwards and a second round pick doesn’t get you young, cost controlled top six talent

Per a former Rangers employee with multiple contacts inside the organization:
-No real concrete movement with ADA at this time. The Rangers are leaning toward a two-year deal to buy time until Lundkvist can come over and challenge. There is interest in ADA around the league should he become available. Rangers don’t plan to shop him, but he’s not an automatic “no."

Damn I'll take that deal as the Rangers. Sure it doesn't give us the 2C we're looking for, but it gives us a long term option at LD, a young forward, and most importantly, a first round pick that could end up being pretty high given the way the Penguins are trending. Plus by that time the Rangers should be contending, so having an extra first rounder to potentially trade for need at the TDL would be very welcome.

Key word is "former" employee so why would anything be leaked to them but I can say this also. There are pages with legitimate insider info that said ADA's name is out there but that the Rangers aren't actively shopping him or talking to his agent at this time.

You also said the Rangers have not said that they want to get rid of ADA but neither did anyone else. It is all speculation about what his contract demands are and the Rangers needs/salary cap situations for future years which is why his name is being floated around.

Former as in retired. OP is the one that said the Rangers WANT to move DeAngelo, and I have seen nothing else remotely credible saying that
