That trade is terrible for Ottawa. 1C + top line W/D >>> potential top 10 LW. Plus Melnyk literally called this suggestion ridiculous.

Galchenyuk and Granlund suck why would we waste cap space on them? We’re not trading 3+5 for 1 that’s stupid and even Melnyk realizes it. I wouldn’t hate Sekera I guess but we have no need to overpay Shattenkirk

No team sign 7 UFA during the off season , they only be taking up space so the prospects can’t play in Ottawa next two years. Ottawa owner and GM all ready said NO to trading 3 and 5 picks. I guess being an Edmonton fan you live in a difference bubble.
