Doughty will not see team Canada, if he does the selected management are quite literally mentally insane. Weber is still useful so I wouldn’t be shocked. oh, definitely, but the likelihood is they want some of the old guard to be there, to stabilize in case the young guys isht the bed, and that is quite the roster of young guys.

I see Price getting the start, and Hart winning the reigns if he stumbles, Canada has always ran the veterans over the young prospects.

I also think Bergeron definitely slots in over PLD,

Team Canada has a tendency to stick with the old guard too, I'd be surprised Weber and Doughty don't get a start or a sniff for this team as you'd be running 5 D and 2 benched who have no experience at the OG.

Hamilton would get the nod IMO, he's so underrated defensively.

Leafs lose the best player, but get significantly better on D, and significantly better on the LW, while getting a true 2C.

as Yikes said, this roster is more likely a contender than the current iteration of the leafs.

"prospects coming up" ?..... Raymond and Seider.... Detroit doesn't have a lot of quality prospects in the system..

also, I really don't think NJ is treating Subban like a cap dump, it was a bad year on a very bad team, plus they have $17M in cap room to round out the bottom half of their roster, so, very do-able without having to move him.

the concept is interesting, and 2021 is supposed to potentially be one of the deepest drafts ever, Honestly, Yzerman would be better off with 4x 1st rd picks to expedite the rebuild rather than getting some good players to be a mid-pack team, but have no 1st or 2nd rd picks for 3 years stalling said rebuild IMO.
