What about 8OA, our 4th rd, Okposo and Montour for Henrique, Silfverberg, Guhle, and 27thOA

I just don't imagine you'd want to trade 8OA for some overpaid 29 year old 2nd liner, a 30 year old 2C, and a late first, though its not a bad offer. It does fill needs and would be tempting. But I think you should want a good younger long term 2C coming back

I think you should worry about your own team and start leaning

Okposo, Kyle + 2020 1st round pick (BUF) = cap dump
Look what the Leafs needed to give up a first for one year of Marleau.
This is all free Henrique, Adam + Guhle, Brendan + 2020 1st round pick (BOS)
Buffalo would be idiots to not take this trade.

I mean the Leafs pick was supposed to be a late first rounder (sadness), not anywhere close to 8OA. Maybe so, but I think there'll be some game breaking young guns available at #8 if Buffalo drafts well. It would be tempting, and does fill many needs.

Might I also add that the Leafs deal should be serving as less of a benchmark and more as a learning point of "hey, don't trade a (potentially at the time of deal of course) top 15 pick in a stacked draft for a cap dump!"

My guess is Rossi or Holtz

I'm not saying its a terrible trade. They could accept. Doubt it, but hey, its the Sabres. Dumping Okposo and filling needs is tempting. I just think that at 30, maybe the Sabres keep #8, especially considering they are in no form of a cap crunch, and there could be someone special at that pick, rather than getting Henrique.

The value isn't god awful for the Sabres, but I'm wondering whether its worth veering off the rebuilding path for. Because I don't think adding Henrique and Guhle puts them in the playoffs, and I think that in a few years once #8 and Cozens and hopefully Mittelstadt find their way into being quality NHLers, maybe then they make the playoffs.

The Sabres aren't in a desperate panic to offload Okposo. It'd be nice, but it doesn't need to happen. I'd rather #8, which could potentially be Holtz or Rossi, than a 30 year old 2nd line center, Guhle, and #27OA.

I would rather have Rossi than Henrique, Guhle, and a 27OA. Cap dump doesn't mean much because Sabres aren't in desperate need of a cap dump

I agree that long term Rossi or Holtz are better but with a two year wait - both fans and Eichel are getting impatient I'm starting to worry that Sabres end up in a new city
