Chara Is Going To Retire or Leave the Bruins

Description
This is completely based off of a guess/hunch based off of his reaction at the end of the game last night. The big guy is a superstar, went over cheered up his goalie and leads the line through the handshakes, but then leaves Bergeron at the door to the locker room (handing off of the C?) And walks alone into the lockers head down. I believe he was realizing right there that was his last game in Boston. Maybe this is a hunch idk

What do we think this team will be next year? Who will join/will they contend again?

Can't see him going to another team. He'll retire or come back with the Bruins. If the nhl plans on doing the bubble next year and players have to quarentine for months away from their families again, I see him retiring. Shame he won't have a final send-off in front of the fans.

I think they said on TV during the game he will either be on another team or retire. As if they know he's not coming back to boston. They kind of stated it like it was fact he wouldn't be back.

This team has it way to easy.
Lets be honest 1/2 the division sucks. OTT, DET, FL all bottom feeders. Buffalo is a step up from them but still bad.
TOR is a mess with no defense and selfish play.
The only other team in the division is TB, and if they get lucky and a Metro wild card team eliminates them they play nothing but weak teams all the way to the conference finals.

Boston makes the playoffs next year not because they are good, but because the rest of the division blows.
This team is getting to old to compete. The speed is lacking in the top 6, I think they realize that. Bergeron is still a good player but he's a shell of the guy who use to start in dzones and move the puck up ice and dominate play. The vast majority of his starts now are in the Ozone because they know he doesn't have the legs.
DK is no different, he's not the player he was and he's losing steps.

They need youth, building up Studnicka into some over inflated name doesn't really help. They did the same crap to Donata but then reality hit. Studnicka got 5 games this playoffs, he did nothing.
That's a more realistic point of view that 2nd rounders don't come in and become franchise players often. They got a 24% chance to be average 300 game NHL players. Giving the guy absurd expectations is a sure fire way to run the guy out of town later when it becomes apparent it's really hard to be a franchise player.

They need speed and youth in the top 6, their farm system doesn't have it, and not being pushed by lower teams doesn't help them acquire it.
If this team was in the metro it would be a different story. It's a dog fight with the younger teams trying to claw their way up. It's pushing teams there. CBJ, CAR, NYI, NYR PHIL all clawing at those stops WSH and PIT have held for so long. It magnifies their holes and in some way helps them fix them. But BOS doesn't have that. The holes stay there until it's a point that you can't fix it.

Yep! Totally agree, I hadn't actually heard what the TV analysists had said. I was just throwing out some thoughts I had.
