The Islanders are a much better team than they are given credit for. Great defensive structure and have the ability to counter punch very effectively and you have a bonafide superstar in Barzal.

If the islanders beat the flyers, I don’t think Tampa is the worst matchup for us. The isles have had trouble with Boston and Carolina, but for some reason we’ve matched up well with Tampa over the last two seasons.

I just think this Tampa team is better than its ever been. sure they overpaid for Coleman and Goodrow, but they added much needed physicality to that third line with Gourde. If they get stamkos back, its their cup to lose

Out of everyone the break helped the islanders the most.. they were one of the most beat up teams at the deadline and weren’t gonna have pelech back for the playoffs unless the pandemic hit.. perfect storm for them

As a leafs fan who has endured so much humiliation that I've achieved zen, I just want the islanders to win the cup. Maybe it'll drive Tavares to play a little better :'(
