Description
Everyone knows who the leafs are dangling
Johnsson, kerfoot, engvall and Andersen.

So here I will try to make different trades than everyone else is proposing, might be similar packages departing but I'll try and do some seldom thought about trades.

Now some of players I'll be targeting, I'll likely have very little knowledge on so TAKERESE. (Minus the Anaheim trade)

Anaheim trade breakdown:
I know you Anaheim fans love these players, as you should. The reason I thought about this deal is the prospects returning would fit with the age of the next generation of contention for your team. Liljegren can step in next year on your right side, Woll is the goalie of your future (I'm not familiar with the confidence of your goalie prospects) and the first and second rounders would be likely ready in 2-3 years depending on development which fits the track of the team.
I don't think Gibson will be the same player he is once the window rolls around so that's why I targeted him.
I personally believe the package going to Anaheim is an overpay but you gotta pay to play.

Nashville trade breakdown: pretty self explanatory, old man poile wants to get some more youth in his forwards and they always have lots of d prospects.

Carolina trade breakdown:
I don't really want to move Holl but I don't think he can comfortably handle the roll he is in, I think he would be a really dependable #6 but he makes a little too much for a #6 dman for the leafs, the reason I sent him to the hurricanes was because I feel like the owner won't allow them to resign vatanen because of covid and Holl is a cheaper option at the six or can fill in a 4 when needed (not for extended periods of time)

St.louis trade breakdown: I don't know what the market for Bozak could be but I think of him in the deal as part of the value for keeping Petro, saving the blues around three schmill.
Signings:
I think Dubas will try to sign demelo as he is probably the closest player comparable available to Muzzin on the Ufa market in the lower price range

Bottom six signings just some more oompf.

NSH would take that, just dont think they need another center in Kerfoot unless they trade Turris/Bonino

That's what I think but it definitely makes the team more balanced cap wise and talent wise

Blues have no interest in that. If you want Bozak with $1M retained, it will cost a 2020 or 2021 3rd... which you don't have. But hey, we like you, so we'll happily make a deal if you give up the 2021 2nd instead. grin

I mean 1 mill retained on one year in a deal that likely puts you in Petros wheelhouse? I think it's likely close enough that Armstrong would do it but if it came down to the picks it would drop the two fourths and add the 2021 2nd but you would be send back the 2021 3rd

1) you do realize the canes spent to the cap this year
2) we wont resign Vaitanen because we need cap space for Hamilton and Svech- he was a pure rental because we were expecting to have Hamilton or Pesce
3) we dont need a dman and we certainly are not trading out best right shot D prospect for Holl

Well, it doesn't put us in the right wheelhouse, but it helps. We'd still need to trim another $5M or so (it's not just Petro, we also have to deal with Dunn).

But yeah, the Blues might be amenable to Bozak $1M retained + 2021 3rd for your 2021 2nd.

Like I said didn't have alot of knowledge on the prospects I just looked at his numbers and they seamed to be average bottom pair numbers.
The only reason I chose Caroline was because I kept hearing it from other CAR fans that they only had one right shot d signed beyond next year replace this player with one of lower expectations.

That is true, Pesce is signed long term but that is it. I would be shocked if we do not resign Hamilton, and fleury has performed very well on his off-side. Keane had a very good year (AHL allstar) in his first pro season. We traded Gauthier (who was a first rounder) for him so i imagine we are quite high on Keane.

No. The only piece that the ducks get with top line/pair potential is Nylander. The rest is just eye candy.
