It's a tough situation. I think the Avs with Lundqvist is good and the Rangers can take a chance on Nichushkin, who could fit in with Panarin too, potentially.

Rangers need a center and Strome would be good for two years at most, but not worth a long-term deal. He was very serviceable, but his production was due to his linemates.

Domi would be an ideal fit with the Rangers. His style of play fits, and he would do well under Quinn. Losing buchnevich can be risky since he is skilled, but they need a center.

The Rangers face a major problem with this scenario, though. The RW is weak and leaves a huge question mark.

Not an easy situation.
