Description

I really think Edmonton could use some more scoring depth, and maybe a 3rd is an overpayment, but I think it's a fair deal. Adding Maroon gives the Leafs more veteran leadership in a limited role with Stanley Cup experience, Gudas, while not the player he once was, would give Rielly a steady body on the right side that is hopefully slightly more or as competent as Hainsey was that allowed him to become a star. Let me know what you guys think

You aren't going to find a 1RD on the cheap. It is what it is.

You aren't going to find a 1RD on the cheap. It is what it is.

I'm well aware he isn't a 1RD, but as long as he proves competent positionally, it's fine in my books. Unless Dubas is willing to move more pieces outside of Johnsson and Kapanen, we just won't have room to sign a 1RD.

I like Gudas, but he's not being signed to pair with Rielly, he's a 3rd pair dman at this stage.

Good vet too cover up for Sandin on 3rd pair, but he'll likely be too expensive for that.

I for sure take that from Edmontons perspective. Skilled forward who might gel with McDavid. If not, you still get a 3rd line winger with offensive upside. As always, salary gets a little tricky. Would prefer to send some money back. Maybe Khiara and a 4th for Johnsson?
