Description

If the hawks somehow find a way to trade Smith or Maatta without giving up assets then sure but otherwise buyouts don't look too bad.

Highmore and Suter could switch and Carpenter could take some or all draws for the 4th line.

If Hagel doesn't stick then either recall Kampf (could be traded for scraps if Hagel works) or Barratt (should be better than Kampf imo).

Hopefully Beaudin can play in the NHL next year but otherwise Gilbert looked pretty good in limited time this year.

It’s a tough decision after Maatta’s playoffs and I think Bowman values him more considering that he gave up more and traded for Maatta first, but I didn’t love Maatta in the regular season and DeHaan looked good when he wasn’t injured, also wondering how much Maattas chemistry with Koekkoek affects his play.

Maata was much better than dehaan and he's also younger, healthier, and cheaper. If we trade one of them it's dehaan. Also, Koekkoek played really well and deserves an extension IMO.

I was thinking about this but I think he deserves a shot in the NHL more and I don’t think he gets that with Mitchell coming in and Seabs coming back, if the team knows Seabs isn’t going to be healthy enough or they move Murphy for a higher pick/winger then i could see Koekkoek getting extended, which you’re right he deserves.
