to me, this is closer to a 1 for 1 -- very similar contracts, both signed long-term, both fill a positional need on the other team, both are the same age. Honestly, TOR would be the one to add on a deal like this, not FLA. Nylander + Engvall + 2nd for Ekblad + Sceviour + 4th or something

I think you are right but I wouldn't give Engval up. He's a good bottom 6 guy. I'd sooner move Kap or Johnsson.

Florida absolutely needs offence, but they also need defence. I can't see them moving Ekblad, especially not for Nylander.

I'm just going off of this post, where Pietrangelo was added through free agency. I don't think FLA should or will trade EKblad, but just basing a trade off of what OP made.
