Trade Kap for a defenceman. Next year we do have hopefully a full season from Sandin and Lehtonen to go with Holl, Rielly, Muzzin and Dermott. So trade Kap and his do nothing in the playoffs attitude to Tampa for Cernak. They will be losing 3 guys from their middle 6 this off season and will need more depth.

Dont really know if anything can be qdded to the Tampa trade. They simply have no interest in any of those players or pieces.

Canes trade has been beaten to death for like a year now and is not worth discussing.

There was a deal involving Hamilton that Canes/Leafs were working on last year, but it fell apart because Leafs wanted Foegele and Canes wouldn't budge on him. Nice idea, but it won't happen.

It was a TSN analyst (sorry, can't remember who) speaking during the trade deadline if I remember correctly. It was never a big article or anything, but it was mentioned on air that the two teams had tried to work on something in January, and that was the end result.
