You could get something for him. I'm assuming that 100% of the $1.9M is for bonuses that will be applied for next year?

I'm usually one to tear down people's rosters, but I really, really like this one. I especially like the Spooner deal and I think both trades are a lot better and a lot more creative than most of the stuff that gets posted here.

My biggest concern with the roster is that Ryan Spooner is going to get way more that $2,750,000 on his next contract. It would be really tough cap-wise, but I think it could be done using the framework of your moves. If Gustavsson was replaced in the Spooner trade by a prospect or pick, you could go without signing Wideman, saving at least $1M. You could also try leaving Kruger unprotected in expansion -- Las Vegas will have too many Defenseman to have need for TVR or Gustavsson, and trading Pokka would give the Blackhawks the room to protect McNeil and Hartman, making Kruger possibly the most appealing option for the expansion team, even with his Cap hit -- which could save $3M. Kruger would be tough to part with, but a passable replacement could be found on the cheap.

Also, could you imagine an all Rusophone line in Montreal of Panarin-Galchenyuk-Radulov? Fuck, that would be so sick.

Yeah Spooner's salary is really hard to pin point considering he might regress this coming season. I think Panarin in Montreal makes so much sense. He needs a Russian teammate that knows his cultural background. Trading him is so much more than just his skill, I don't think he's as productive if he is without Russian teammates. I also agree with Kruger being unprotected I just find it hard to believe Stan would do that he obviously loves Kruger.

Deal. Price ain't going to be in his prime forever you know? Gotta try to win now.

This could work exo. Those are three prospects that aren't flashy but could be stars in the league in the future with the right development. Lehkonen is a sleeper which many here in Mtl are dying to see. I'm a little skeptical that he will be a top 6 guy in his first year as some people think but he's skilled and reminds me a little of Teravainen. Juulsen is hard to read at this point but from what I've seen, he could be a poor mans Seabrook which isn't bad. Mostly top 4 material. Funny enough his manorisms and technique remind me more of Bieksa for some reason. Fucale is the absolute question mark. Kid could be a starter in the NHL or never make it at all. I really don't know. Goalies are really hard to project. At his age and skill he should be a starter in the AHL by now and it seems like there's a high chance he's starting in the ECHL. Some notable goalies have done the same and become star players but it's generally rare. This season will be a big season for all the three players. If each on steps up a notch, then your getting a solid package. If not, well we're stealing an amazing player away for what could be nothing.

Being as unbiased as possible, you could get a better deal somewhere else I think. With that said, I think Montreal could offer something better as well.
