Getting sick and tired of this team

Équipe: 2020-21 Maple Leafs de Toronto
Date de création initiale: 3 août 2020
Publié: 3 août 2020
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
I've said it before and I,ll say it again. This team only counts on their talent and isn't built for the playoffs. Dubas built a very talented team that's for sure but he also created a team with little no work ethic.

Will to win>talent, 90+ times out of 100. Change my mind.

This is the 3rd youngest team in the league. How many times did Jordan fail before winning? Just get off it with your troll nonsense

Jordan's work ethic was never in question, even in the early years when he couldn't win a playoff rd to save his life. The Celtics dynasty and the Bad Boy Pistons had something to do with that too..... but all the same. Jordan played Defense.
From someone who isn't a Leafs fan (although I don't hate them as most Hab fans do) The young superstars on the leafs right now are still just thinking offense. I forget when it happened, but when TOR was playing WSH, Ovi said that the leafs need to learn to change how they play, and offense isn't everything, or something along those lines. I think those words from the Great 8 still ring true.

Of course more absolute nonsense. Columbus didn't have much chance for offense last game because TO played a good game defensively, they weren't only thinking offense. This is all just the same rhetoric people say with zero proof. Matthews was 3rd in the NHL in take aways. Better than Stone and yet he only thinks offense. I suppose that means he only thinks offense and gives up when he doesn't have the puck. Just the same old troll nonsense

You are just a troll

Is this your only answer?

Her's why I'm not a troll... because I've actually done my research.

Let's just take Holl as an example. He's the Leafs' 4th most important d-man yet he'd be 5-6th in the vast majority of teams.
He's be a number 5 on any other team yet in te Leafs defensive system he's 4.

Let's go...
In BOS: he'd be behind McAvoy, Kug, Carlo, Grz and Z
In PIT: behind Marino, Letang, Pettersson and Dumoulin
In TBL:behind Hedman, McDonagh, Serg and Cernak
In PHI:behind Provorov, Sanheim, Myers, Niskanen and Braun, he's be 6th
In WSH: behind Carlson, Orlov, Kempny, Dillon and Gudas... be'd be tied with Siegenthaler.... 6th again
In CBJ: behind Jones, Werenski, Gavrikov, Murray and Savard, number 6 again
In CAR: behind DH, Slavin, Pesce, Skjei and Vatanen... I'd argue Edmundson... 6th again
In NYI: behind Pulock, Toews and Pelech... difference here is that all three of the above are better at defense than Mo and Barrie
In NYR: behind Fox, ADA, Lindgren and defensively tied with Trouba. 4th in NYR, we're rebuilding tho

In STL: behind Petro, Parayko, Dunn and Faulk and Scandella (who's immendiately linked to Parayko who's better at defense than any of the leafs defender)... 5-6th
In MIN: behind their big 4
In COL: behind Makar, Girard, Johnson, Graves and Cole. Tied with Zadorov
In CHI he's be 4-5th
In WIN he'd be 4th
In EDM: behind Klefbom, Nurse, Bear and Larsson. 5th
In CGY: behind Gio, Brodie, Andersson and Hanifin.
In VAN: behind Hughes, Edler, Myers and Tanev
In VGK: behind Theodore, Schmidt, Martinez and McNabb
In DAL: behind MH, Klingberg, Lindell and Oleksiak
IN NSH: behind Josi, Ellis and EKholm and tied with Fabbro

Starting to notice a pattern here? In the VAST majority of the teams listed above, Holl would be a 5th or even 6th in some cases. Yet he's the 4th most important d-man in TOR because Dubas didn't do ANYTHING to fix the Leafs D-core in the 2019 offseason. Added noted elite d-man Barrie to «FiX tHe DeFeNsE» and noted analytical darling Cody freaking Ceci. His autistic «wE cAN aNd We WiLL» mentality didn't help the Leafs in the slightest.

What I said was, they played a good defensive game in game one but didn't have the offense going. To suggest they didn't play defence in game 1 is without proof

You are just sour. I don't care to hear any more of your anti leaf rhetoric. It's garbage.

Holl is a fine defender he doesn't lose you games. Piling on him and ignoring the other young guys coming up the pipe is typical leaf troll rhetoric.
