I agree, definitely saw some sparks over his games where he played very well, but im not sure the rest of the league would see it that way. Id rather just upgrade, maybe change a few pick values?

As a NSH fan, if I'm trading Bonino to BUF then I'd prefer Thompson+

I'm not sold on Thompson, but he's of much more interest than Montour or Mittlestadt. I'd be looking for good picks and a goalie prospect from BUF, in a Bonino deal.

Then you have a bad judge of value seeing as Mitts is still only 21 and Montour is still plenty valuable. Montour having a slightly down year while playing on his offside doesn't magically make him worthless when we just acquired him for a 1st and B+ prospect in Guhle.

I could see that. I like the addition of Thompson for his size, youth, and contract. With the flat cap for the next couple of seasons, his next contract could be <$1m for those the next two years. I think he could be a solid bottom 6 player -- and with the addition of Trenin and Thompson, NSH all of a sudden has some size in their lineup that they really haven't had for a while.
