As Detroit, if we can acquire a 1st, im in favour of the move. I think this benefits Svech, though I hope we can give him a shot this season first. Depending on the moves we make there may not be space.
I think this is the minimum return for Detroit, and as a fan i'd be happy with it, though I would be curious to see whether they manage to do a little better.

As far as the trade goes, Allen would be a great fit in Ottawa. Backup or as a 50/50 tandem with Hogberg.

love this plan, I did this sort of trade with Detroit originally (I think I did a second and a 3rd and got not pick back) but changed it for a lower value all encompassing one with Allen to make Wings fans happen and respect Yzerman in my own post, still I originally thought this sort of deal was realistic (Detroit buys out) and love it

I agree ottawa is a good fit, I think Minny and again adding him in to the trade with Detroit are the other possibles with Allen

Only two things I'll say, one is that you'll need to promote another player for a valid roster, just a scratch, probably Walker, and you don't need to "bury" Gunnarsson(man my GMing is weak because I had never even heard of that, what is that? looks similar to a buyout but seems to have taken more off for Gunny), either he is broken (which I haven't hear and doubt is true unless something happens in the playoffs) and he sits that last year on LTIR for essentially free, or he has value if healthy, even if not a lot, and you ship him for a lower round draft pick, freeing up more money in case Pietrangelo costs closer to 9-9.5 as he likely does. Also Mikkola is probably the promoted scratch D instead of Walman

All in all good plan though, fairly realistic and good for the Blues
