Montreal fans... I hear a lot of negatives regarding Drouin. What's his actual deal?

Drouin is a fine player who have start to mature. He was the best players before getting hurts earlier this year. He is a fairly good deal considering is production at the moment and he still have good potential.
Alone he is worth more then a late first round pick. Adding to the fact that you are trying to ship us that horrible contract you would need to add Meier to just entertain talk. Vlassic is unmovable unless a big overpayment by your side

His advanced stats are HORRIBLE though. And not just this year, like, every year he's been on the ice. He may score points, but the evidence shows he hurts the team overall. I wouldn't be excited to have him on our second line, but easing the cap might help us more than he could hurt us.
At least Vlasic still has good possession metrics, and plays an honest, defensive game.

Get real man, a first alone isnt enough for any team to take that albatraos of a contract. Addind Drouin to this deal is pure madness.

He have been a + corsi for almost every season he played so he create more chance that he allowed. For sure he isn’t a defensive specialist but is stats aren’t horrible like you mentioned.

Drouin has good advanced stats and Vlasic is horrible and had one of the worst contracts in the nhl

Habs are not looking to get rid of Drouin. He is home grown talent, something that is rare in today's nhl. The deal itself, if you take out Drouin, the has may consider, but as is, not a chance.

I wish that could be a realistic deal. Drouin was a player I wished for when there for drama around him and he was “on the trade market”

I would be ok with that too. I don't particularly want Drouin, I've just heard a lot of noise regarding his ineffectiveness, so it made sense to add him in order to close a deal if it were true.



I hear you, but there are better players worth going after. Tatar being one of them. Gallagher too. Personally, I like the Habs, I lump them into a second tier with a few other teams. I hope they win the lottery, they deserve a break.

I'm not saying I want Drouin on the leafs, or that I'd want him if I'm a sharks fan. And to be honest, I'm hoping the habs win the lottery too. I actually don't mind them, they are far from my least favourite team.
