I am interested to see how Ghost does defensively this year. People claim he is pure OFD but if that were true how does he come out +8 on a horrible defensive team last year?

+/- is a bad stat. His advance stats state he is better defensively than he showed last year and not as good offensively as he scored.

I agree it's a bad stay but on a team that was as defensively challenged as the Flyers last year, he seemed to be one of the best.

You really like Laughton. I cringe seeing him on the 2nd. Would like to see Weal get a solid crack at the lineup.

I'd be ok with these deals. Maybe rather than 2 4th's from Dallas change it to just a single 3rd, considering they would be late 4th cause Dallas has a solid team.

I like that we would have some cap space to play with heading into next season.

I want Laughton to get a shot just to see what he has. If you look at the 17/18 team he could easily be moved and have Lowry move up to that 3rd line spot.

Yeah I looked. I like Leier. He could be a perfect 3rd line LW for this team. A Leier/Cousins/NAK 3rd line I'd like. It's a young line but I think they would mesh very well together.

Fair enough. I think he'll be ready after this season tho. I also don't see him as a C on this team. I think he lines up on a Wing with Couts and Simmons. Unless during the offseason we make a splash, free up some cap space and get a 6mil a year winger but I don't think realistically that would happen

True but I don't think that both Sanhiem and Morin both make the roster next year. Having 4 of your 6 dman having less than 2 years of nhl experience isn't a good thing. It's not that I don't think they would be ready, I just think it could hurt there development not having a veteran presence to guide them. So I see MDZ getting resigned next season.

That D is awful! Provorov takes MDZ spot as a 2 way D man with high offensive potential. MacDonald seems to be just awful (hopefully someone will take him for a 7th or something but not likely with that contract.) We really need to make a trade for a RHD man as I feel Gudas is overrated and no more than a 5th or 6th man. I wouldn't mind signing a Jackman or something to help these kids.

It's not awful, but it's definitely not cup worthy. I was just being realistic with what I think it is going to look like next season. I agree we do need a RHD. I don't think Macdonald gets bought out till after next season. It's also highly doubtful he gets traded unless we retain some of his cap.

MacDonald can't be bought out till next year, that's what I have on my 17/18 team. But here is to hoping some team takes him.

The WPG deal wouldn't happen IMO not enough for WPG. The other two trades are accurate and smart. Good job!
