I think the US has the upper hand over Canada in terms of defense and goaltending. Also the best centre depth they've had. If Hughes shows enough improvement he can take 3/4C and Miller can shift back to wing. I understand that Yamamoto as one of the extra forwards might cause some controversy but he's on the upswing and a player I think is capable of being inserted on any line.

I get that reason. Dahlin had 44 points as a 18 year old defenseman last year on a bad team, but he started playing some pro hockey games when he was 14. It’s a huge jump from the USHL to the NHL.
