you are right. its sad to say but i think the best way to save money going forward without destroying the team is to not sign markstrom and sign a 1b, like Khudobin or Griess to a 2 mil 1 year deal.

One option yes but I think Marky understands & will sign a friendly deal. Toffoli maybe not unless he likes Ban & the roster he gets to play with. Tanev is key since RHD isn’t deep & not an easy fix.

I know its not the popular vote but i think Tanev is the most important of the 3 big UFAs.

It really says something about the state of the Canucks when you can cut 4 players with 13 million dollars of cap hit and still ice a full roster without bringing in any new players.

Also I think all these trades get rejected by the other teams involved.
