Arizona is one of the few places other than Minnesota that I'm okay with winning the lottery. I think it would generate interest in a mostly uninterested market. I honestly think it would be good for hockey and growing the sport in the south.

Same here. Coyotes need a truly elite franchise player. Hall is the biggest piece they have ever added outside of veterans who used to be stars. But to get Lafreniere from day 1 would be amazing for them. Like Doan x2.

Colin Wilson would be a sneaky good add if he could stay healthy, but that’s a big if.

Agreed, and imagine Keller and Laffy together...that would be a very skilled top line.

I have this gut feeling that Hall is so sick of losing that no matter how big the AAV is, now matter the term, he is going to a sure contender. I'd say Dallas, Colorado, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Washington, Tampa, Boston, and St Louis are on his list of teams. Obviously we can cross out those with extreme cap issues so really that list is extremely small. He may be convinced to go to some teams like Philly, Edmonton, and New York (both) based on the young talent they have and how they would just get better year after year. But I truly think he wants to be sure that wherever he goes, they will be contenders. These teams also have something Arizona doesn't, a surefire 1C that he can play with and feed off of.

Just my 2 cents on it but I think his list is a lot smaller than people think.

That’s the ironic part. About 3 days after Laf goes to the Coyotes, Hall moves out.

I agree he goes to a contender. It would be incredibly Dubas for him to Become a Leaf. My leading bet is he goes home to the flames though.

I was actually talking a Flames fan about what happens if they get Laffy. It was scary to think just how good their LW crop would be. By far the best in the league. But now imagine if Hall and Laffy go there this year. Obviously this would force Lindholm to play center and someone would have to play off-hand on the RW but holy crap would that team be loaded offensively. Just hope there would be enough money left to pay their UFA's on D.

I have to disagree with Arizona winning the lottery. Based on the details involved with on going rookie work out investigation, I would not see it fair that ARI gets awarded 1 OA.

There would be 29 extremely ticked off GM's. If it did happen.

Oh my, I would love to see the flames with Lafreniere and Hall. They have a stacked LW already, even if they get only one of those players they have the best left wing in the league.
