I like the idea of getting tkachuk. I wanted to trade JVR for that pick. Chemistry with Matthews and Marner. But these trades are not put together that well. Lupul isn't going anyway.

leafs1967. You are usually neutral and fair in your thoughts. But aren't these trades silly slanted towards the Leafs.? Why do near cap Ducks need an expensive centre for their premier Dman prospect?
Budget Arizona trading young star Domi for Kadri? Cap strapped Flames trading for two years of JVR for Tzachuk? As bad as Stajan is value wise, Lupul is worse.

I have to say. These are pretty terrible for the other teams.

First let's look at Bozak in a heartbeat Carlyle would take Bozak and if he wanted him I'm sure he would get him. He also is good on the draw and most teams would love that. Ducks have extra D so I'm sure they could afford it. Now as for the other two trades it's a matter of trying to reunit Marner with his old line from London . If any of you have a better trade to offer them to get those players I'd love to see it. I think Calgary would do trade Burke loves JVR and his speed and size

The Ducks have Getlzak, Kesler and Rakell at centre. Adding Bozak and a 2.75 additional salary doesn't help the Ducks. Admitting a lot of teams like JVR. But for Flames to give up Tzachuk would be like the Leafs trading Nylander for a good player with two years left on his contract. A cap strapped rebuilding team like Calgary isn't going to do it.
The Leafs don't have many NHL proven goal scorers on the team.....their weakness last year too. I really think they need JVR this year to help the forwards, especially to take pressure off some of the younger ones.
Would love to see him have a great year and maybe he gets traded to in the summer of 2017 or the deadline of 2018. I kinda think he is leaving the Leafs anyways.

I'm betting JVR is gone before Christmas. it's not that I don't like him it's just I think he is more valuable now to trade. They have Laich ,Martin , Komarov and Polak to help with youth for now . And as for Bozak I think they maybe able to retain salary on him. I've still not seen where these players could go if traded!
