I would agree on most of your thinking . I'll give you my thoughts . Toronto would love to get rid of lupals contract as would Calgary getting rid of stajan's. Burke loves Van Riemsdyk speed and size. Most managers would give up a first rounder for Van Riemsdyk and he's still young . So that is why I put Tkachuk in deal. Plus it's looking at trying to reunite the London Knights line . Dollar wise stajan's and lupals could be a wash even if Toronto keep some salary. Arizona deal was just trying to figure away to get Davoak. Bozak deal was a way to get rid of him and get a backup goalie for a year or two. Dallas would love lot get rid of one of there goalies to get Bishop. Bozak could always be trade away to make room for the Bishop deal . Hope this reasoning makes sense to you .

Yzerman said he would rather have something then nothing for Stamkos that's why I add Johnson in sign and trade. Cowen was was someone to just get of the books since Lupal was the last buy out for them. EDM gets a Defenceman who could be a 5 or 6 for them in Purcy. JVR was casualty to make more room for Stamkos. Also looking ahead to expansion draft by trying to get ride of the no move contracts
