Barzel aint signing that and would rather get offersheeted same with Pulock as both are worth way more than that.

Barzel either gets a 2-3 year 7mill bridge or a 10 mill 8 year contract

Pulock either 3.75 mill for 2 years or 6.5-7mill for 5-6

Barzal deal matches the Teravainen contract, which is probably more a floor, but not sure how else the team can make that work.

And they don't have a lot of room beyond that, so if Barzal is getting more, then they will have to try to trade Pulock or would welcome an offer sheet.

I would think Barzal would at minimum be the Aho offer sheet from last year. I know you're in a cap crunch but I doubt his camp would accept a 3 mil discount to stay on with the Islanders. I think you're right, Pulock is probably on the move due to Barzal's value. Unless you offload like a Cizikas or Clutterbuck or some players like that? (Before you ask, we're not interested)

Barzal, Toews, and Pulock are making much more imo

Barzal = 8x8 or 8.5x8
Pulock = as @aadoyle said 3.75x2 or 6.5x7
Toews = 4Mx5

So since your not an Isles fan let me help you with the teams plan.

1) No chance Mayfield gets buried in the AHL
2) Leddy will be traded for cap relief
3) Barzal gets at least $6.5 on a bridge
4) Pulock will get $6M
5) Toews will get $3.5
6) Ladd will be buried or traded, no change he ever plays 2LW
7) Kuhnackal will not be re-signed
8) Johnston is the 13th fowrad with leo on the 4th line

Next years roster is

Lee- Barzal- Eberle
Beau- Nelson- Bailey
Dal Colle- Pageau- Bellows
Leo- Czizkas- Clutter
Johnston

Pelech- Pulock
Toews- Mayfield
Aho-Dobson
Boychuck

I doubt that they'll try to move Pulock - who else do they have on the right side?

They really don't have anybody. I was using that as a last resort if they can't move the other contracts that are hindering their cap space. Decent players but expendable if they want to resign both Pulock and Barzal. Cizikas, Clutterbuck, Bailey, Hickey, etc. I also wouldn't sign Greiss. No offense to him, 1C and 1D are more important than a 2G at this point.

Yeah makes sense plus seems like Sorokin's coming over next szn so they don't even need Greiss

Pulock is not being moved. Leddy will be moved, maybe Boychuck if they give up a 1st with him and Hickey.

Pulock is the #1 D-Man for the team moving forward.

This assumes no CBO, if there is a CBO then Boychuck gets moved to a team not using their CBO and Ladd gets CBO'd.

Yes I know Pulock isn't moving and Leddy is
Yes I know Pulock is the 1D
If there is a CBO imo I would unload Ladd on a team who is not using their CBO because he's cheaper and CBO Boychuk.

Greiss is gone, either Sorokin comes over or they sign a $1M backup.

Ideally Sorokin comes over, but the NHL is causing issues with the Russian players like with Kaprizov.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. But I was merely pointing out Thread Starter's signing of Greiss and explaining why I wouldn't do it. And trust me, I'm not happy with how the NHL is treating the Reserve list players at the moment. I've been waiting too damn long for Kaprizov. If I have to wait another year, Bettman's house is getting egged. Mark my words

Yea, thread starter is off on just about everything.

I think you'd have a lot of people joining you for that egging.
