Yup indeed to get him out of DET BUF would need to move Cozens and their 2020 1st... I know it's an overpay but yeah...

Currently Reinhart > Cozen's potential. So youre saying make that 2021 first a 2020 first and they accept?

It's good value, but detroit wont do it

Problem is it is not great value.

Larkin is a center and everything that is seen right now teams are looking for centers, as good ones do not grow on trees. Larkin is

Hometown kid
Face of the organization
Trading him for Reinhart leaves a huge hole at center as Veleno or Rassmussen are not ready
Probably going to be named Captain

What do Wings need with another Winger if they have no center to get him the puck.

!st round pick next year, rebuild teams DO NOT for the last time trade Good Young players, for futures. And teams DO Not Trade good centers for Wingers.

When all the scuttle butt came after Eichel's comments all I heard is we are not trading Eichel. Well the same is for the Wings. Does not make any sense.

Larkin to reinhart is almost no downgrade

You'd have 2 top 7 picks and can go sign a guy as a stop gap

No, that just causes the rebuild to last longer.

Hard pass, this offer does nothing for Detroit. Larkin is the only bonafide center we have and he’s a hometown kid, future captain, and still young enough to fit any rebuild. Buffalo’s first next year could be a mid to late pick and Reinhardt does little for us considering we have wingers (Mantha, Bertuzzi, Zadina) with no centers for them.

I said good, you claimed I said great.

You spend 7 lines talking about why detroit wouldn't do it. I said they wouldn't do it.

Cozens and the 7th pick doesn't get you Larkin? Add Ristolainen to the deal to make it more far. Larkin in Buffalo is easily a 70 point producer if not more.

Adding Risto to the deal wouldn't be an issue, but I cannot see the Wings moving Larkin even for an overpay like this

I sooner expect the Oilers to trade Connor McDavid than I expect the Wings to trade Dylan Larkin. Not unless he demands a trade (and I don't think he's gonna) or someone offers a legit superstar center for him (and who's going to do something silly like that?).
