Bringing in that salary means also losing DeAngelo, Strome, Lemieux, or Buchnevich. So - essentially getting rid of 2 guys that played good hockey for the Rangers, for a 35 year old question mark.

Strome easily outproduced Bozak and has chemistry with Panarin, and will come in around the same cap hit for next season.

I'd much rather do Howden, 4th for Bozak (with retention). (As this would assure he'd replace Howden in the lineup, and not Strome or Chytil)

Not necessarily trouble, but moves have to be made. Decisions regarding goaltending, defense (DeAngelo) and Ryan Strome are gonna be made. Maybe some retention would help.

Right, but isn’t “moved have to be made” exactly what cap trouble means? Blackhawks trading Ladd, Byfuglien, Panarin, Leafs dumping Marleau, Sharks letting Pavelski walk, etc.
