Like I said in your other post wildly in VAN's favour getting cap relief and getting the 32nd overall pick is just to much even if you give us Stecher which isn't a huge plus in my mind.

This this something I don't understand to burry a player he has to clear waivers. If he clears waivers every team has had a chance to claim him and no one has. So how does he have any value in a trade?

Stecher is a RD and with Hronek, Seider and Lindstrom should Detroit spend any assets acquiring Stecher.

He doesn't have trade value and he's not that big of a cap save either. This deal just doesn't make sense from either side. Van has bigger contracts to move and those players can actually play.

Lots of trades that make no sense for either team here at CapFriendly.
