Larkin is a home town kid, probably nex captain, face of the Wings and a good young center. This trade only set the rebuild back. Just does not make sense, if Wings start trading young players now for picks they will continue rebuild for years.

Yes Wings in a rebuild as some of the old guard are phased out, like Ericcsson, Daley, and soon to be Helm, Filpula, Abdelkader and Nielsen.

The up and coming players like Larkin, Betuzzi, Mantha, Sieder, Hronek and Zadina will be the backbone along with the next future draft picks. Trading them to get more picks, espicially ones later in the 1st makes zero sense as they may never make the big leagues and it only continues a rebuild. Teams in rebuild mode do not sell young assets for younger assets, they try to peddle.older established players who in 3 to 4 years will not be around.

Find it funny when people on this site try to target teams that are bad and want to give them future picks for their good young players who are more established for something that may never pan out.
