Why is Bean or Joulevi on this list?

Fox, Peeke, Mete, and Hronek have all our preformed them at the NHL level.

Bean will be good if he’s given a shot, Carolina seems to not want to give him a shot as they traded for Vatanen and Skjei at the deadline to help with injuries vs letting him play.

I think he’s really good at some aspects of the game. I think a lot of areas of his game are flawed. I’m sure he will develop them.

Curious to know what you think about him, from what I watched this year he was pretty solid defensively. Not great at breaking cycles and zone defense but good against the rush. Seems like he'll develop into a really good two way dman

He’s a good player. I’ve seen him play a lot. I live in Boston, and have seen him play in quite a few buildings. His gap control is pretty solid, but there’s plenty to work on in his own end. I’m not saying he’s a bad player, but I think he’s the epitome of why analytics are legit garbage when it comes to defensemen. I see things like he’s amazing, and he’s an analytical god, and he’s going to be the best d man in his class, and that he should win the Calder. All of these are legitimately insane, and come from people that are either rangers fans, or the type to see a guy place 6 minutes, look up his stats, and latch on to him like they’ve been watching every shift since peewee.

He’s a good hockey player and a great example of how advanced stats aren’t worth a damn when it comes to defensemen. It’s just laziness.

Only thing I'll say about advanced stats is they almost seem to be a precursor for elite play. For example, Hamilton always had good adv. stats but the eye test didn't really match. This season though, he definitely took that step offensively and defensively

Offensively, he sure did.

Defensively, he’s the same trash he’s always been.

Cmon dont be biased, he was playing good defensively this season before he got hurt. He was playing first pairing minutes and dominating at both ends of the ice.

Nope. Watch how often the puck gets dumped in his corner. It isn’t by accident.
