Agreed and I honestly don't think he is any better than Hutton at this point. But he definitely will command slot more based on reputation alone

Don't see Holtby signing for anything less then 4 x 5.5M or 5 x 5.5M Noway he signs for so little.

Buffalo and Minnesota are poor trade partners because both are looking for right-handed forwards in general and hoping for a #2C in particular.

With Matt Dumba and Jared Spurgeon on the right side, the Wild aren't likely to be interested in Brandon Montour. And they expect to get at least a second-round pick and an A prospect for Brodin. If Staal were to have Buffalo on his list of teams he's willing to be traded to in probably his last year, Minnesota would probably want a second for him.

Interesting. Yeah I’m not set on Holtby. I think he’s lost a big step. Just want someone cheap, and goodbye Hutton lol. I’d take Brouisset off of Wpg for cheap. Wasn’t sure on the value for minny. Staal is older and has a solid contract. He’s played well lately. I really see him as a perfect fit to transition Cozens to 2C. Mitts was the big piece. I still think he has a huge upside...and he’s a minny boy which the fans would love? Montour is controllable vs Brodin having just a couple years left. Brodin lose value for that. I think Montour comes in at a cheaper cost than resigning Brodin. Plus younger.

I don’t know how much more of an A-list prospect ur gonna get for a trade involving Brodin. He can walk in a year.
