    2. Kapanen, Kasperi
    3. Liljegren, Timothy
    Détails additionnels:
    Picks:

Kapanen: 40-50 pt player right now. Will likely be 50-60 pts on a good line in his prime. Only 23. Excellent penalty killer, good 2 way game.

SDA: High-end prospect who will likely be a middle-6 forward.

Liljegren: 2-way defensemen with good hands and feet. Actually similar to Klingberg in a lot of ways. 21 yrs old. Will likely be NHL ready this year. Projects to be a top-4 or fringe top-line defensemen.

Any prospect with a good chance of being middle-6 is high-end in my eyes.

Doubt Dallas would go any less than nylander. Which in my opinion would be a very good trade for both teams. Both trading from strengths and acquiring their biggest need

If that. Has the look of a KHL Allstar more than an NHL player.

Maybe 5-10 years ago, but with the recent success of smaller players like Gallagher and especially DeBrincat it's certainly possible.

Did you see his numbers this year and for the past few years. This year 55 games he had 75 points
Last years 62 games 46 points
Two years ago 68 games 51 points

I'm not suggesting that that it's because he is small, at least not entirely. Unless you're an elite offensive talent, you play a weak, soft style and expect to succeed. Gallagher succeeds because he's stronger and feistier than players much larger than him. Debrincat succeeds because he has elite goal scoring ability.

The problem with SDA is that he's small and he's a soft, perimeter player, and on top of that he has next to no goalscoring touch.

Well then say AHL player don't say KHL. High-end KHL players are top-6 forwards in the NHL. (Mikheyev, Gusev, etc.)

Ok so then by that logic pasta is good because of his team, kucherov is good because he plays for Tampa

That's not quite true though. Guys like you mentioned dominate the KHL because they are too good, and that's why they come to the NHL and that's why they succeed. That's not the only kind of player who dominate at the KHL level.

The KHL is filled with players who couldn't hack it in North America, usually because they were undersized skill players, so they went to Russia and made boatloads of cash. Look at the career of Nigel Dawes. Nigel Dawes was an unbelievable talent at the WHL and AHL level, but when he got to the NHL he was never quite able to stick. Nigel Dawes went to the KHL, and he's been a Star there for nearly a decade.

I have a hard time seeing Dallas moving Klingberg without Liljegren being one of the pieces coming back. The right side of their blue line is an absolute disaster. Outside of Klingberg, Dallas has 1 defenseman that's a legitimate NHL RD, and that's Stephen Johns. Everyone can agree that Stephen Johns really isn't much more than a depth defenseman. If his concussion issues crop up again, Dallas best RD becomes Taylor Fedun. They also have nobody in the pipeline that looks like a future NHL caliber RD. They are pretty loaded on the left side, but it's going to take a significant return for Dallas to consider giving up the only RD in their organization that has value.

If I'm Dallas, any Klingberg trade starts with Liljegren + Nylander. Obviously it isn't a 2 for 1 trade here, and there would be other pieces added to balance out the deal, but given Dallas' needs both on the right side of their defense and in the scoring department, they would be aiming to potentially fill both needs by moving Klingberg.

Leafs don't agree to Nylander for Klingberg.

Just re-sign Barrie if you need another RH offensive dman.

I love how I talked about trading Klinger for Kap and Liljegren and everybody lost their minds, but a Tor fan does it and it’s fine. Lol. Drop SDA and replace him with Johnsson, Kerfoot, or a 2020 second round pick and it looks good to me

Keep it down with that. I don’t think any of them realize Klinger isn’t an upgrade on Barrie. You guys should totally send us lots of good stuff for him wink wink

He also decided at some point to become a Kazakh citizen.... unsure

Another good example is Linden Vey. Struggled in the Canucks system but did incredible things in his first few years in the K. I still think if either wanted to play in the NHL they'd do fine now.
