And the same was said about St. Louis last year. I guess you could argue Carolina getting back their goalies, Pesce and Dougie probably causes the biggest swing

But the Leafs getting Muzzin and Rielly back means nothing. TO lost the 5th most man games to injury in the league this year and also was behind only Pittsburgh for the most impactful man games lost. They missed a month of Marner almost 10 games of Tavares, Johnsson missed a lot of time, Muzzin and Rielly, Andersen missed time, Mikheyev as well. Now they are healthy and they also had seen huge improvements defensively prior to the shut down. But I guess none of that matters.

I mean the good news is TOR may actually win a playoff series for the first time in 16 years lol. I kid, I kid

@bhavikp27 is right though, a offense dominate team vs a defense dominate team.

GF/GP
TOR - 3rd
CBJ - 28th

GA/GP
TOR - 26th
CBJ - 3rd

PP%
TOR - 6th
CBJ - 27th

PK%
TOR - 21st
CJB- 12th

neither team is overly physical with CBJ ranking 20th in hits and TOR 29th. Columbus blocks a lot of shots though (ranks 5th) and doesn't turn the puck over much (Ranked 7th). On the flip side Toronto is 22nd in block shots and turns the puck over quite a bit ranking 26th in the NHL. The time away though is the x-factor in everything. It would make for a good series.

Also I should be considered that TO's numbers were skewed from the change in coaching. Under Bab's there were so bad defensively and then improved a lot under Keefe, apart from the stretch were the shutdown pair was Marincin and Holl, those were tough days. Heading into the shutdown they had cut chances and goals against way down.

It will be a oof of a series... Columbus will have to play like Boston to win... strong defensively and capitalize on their chances. The problem is Columbus won’t get many chances so they’ll have to capitalize on almost all of this chances. Columbus will also have to play a much more physical game on Toronto defence, it’ll end up being players like Gerbe, Robinson, Folingo and Jenner who make the difference for Columbus on how they can play on the forecheck vs Toronto’s d. We’d have to keep the puck away from the Toronto forwards, but then again it’s Matthews, Marner, Tavares and Nylander.... Columbus is going to get blow out in this series. Though, whoever wins gets Boston in the next round.

The good thing is that we won't have to face the 2019 CBJ team
