it’s literally every teams dream to get marner but this doesn’t make sense for buffalo...we have to sign dahlin and he’s gonna get a huge payday...marner would put this team in cap hell for plenty of years to come.

Good point. I see a bit of either a bridge or they make a move like maybe Risto out and try to bring back a cheaper, yet almost as effective defender. These moves are risky, but your everyday Steve Y GM can handle it well, unlike your Bergiven type of GMs

This whole situation would just make the sabres worse over the long run since they would become a more top heavy team than they already are. Not worth it to give up a young top 4d, a potential top 6 player, and salary cap.

If the Leafs want to do this they need to retain on Marner. Also, I don’t think Buffalo gives up Jokiharju. How about Miller instead?
