this would be a really dumb trade for OTT, Jost has not proven he is anything but a 4th liner so far and Brown has not had the chance to play much in the NHL yet......

And how many games of Jost have you watched? The hat trick against Tampa? The excellent playoffs last year? Or the fact that he has managed to play 3 seasons in the NHL when Brown couldn’t crack a craptastic Senators line up while their the same age? Sure Colorado mishandled his development but that is lazy analysis.

I think Jost is a 3rd liner with potential to be more. Brown is a great offensive Talent, but if he can't find a top six job, I don't think he's going to ever be a great NHL player.

Ottawa really shouldn't trade Brown right now. They've put way too much development into him to trade him before he even plays a full season. I'd do something around Tierney+ for someone like Jost. Probably a better fit for Colorado's situation anyways.

Tierney is worth more than jost.... trading a established player or a good prospect for jost is horrible asset management. do not think jost is even worth a 2nd, his numbers are barely 3rd line material

Agree about Tierney being more valuable than Jost. That said I think that Jost has the tools to be a better player than he has been to this point. I would definitely want Jost + in a Tierney trade though.
