If Eichel is traded, it's either going to be in the final year of his contract after he has made it clear that he has no intention of re-signing, or after he requests a trade. He has a full NMC in the final 4 years of his contract, so he would need to approve any trade.

Outside of those options, there's no way Buffalo trades him. My guess is that he is a Sabre until he retires.

From my perspective, they need to get someone who can teach him how to be a leader. From the outside, it seems like every year there's another story about how "Eichel isn't happy with the coach" or "eichel has friction with management" or whatever it is.

I don't think it happens, but if Couture is made available, Buffalo should bring him in immediately. There's a guy who actually knows what it takes to be a Captain.

Ehhh he actually seems very mature in his interviews of late. I would like more leadership if it comes with talent, Couture would be awesome, but I dont think its a locker room thing. I think its a lack of talent issue. They whiffed on Reinhart (hes not a bust but I do think hes slightly over rated and I wanted Draisaitl), They missed on Mittelstadt, they missed on Nylander but were able to turn that into Jokiharju so thats not terrible but hes not putting up a ton of points, they also suffer from not getting anything out of their later round picks, even really the seconds and 3rds but theirs still a lot of TBDs in there. Managment, notibly, has a severe lack of direction, upper managment seems more (solely) focused on the NFL team that brings in more profits.

It's the same question that's been on here so many times already and it's super annoying to keep seeing it. Also, not even the right place to put the question.

Sorry didn't know Eichel was getting traded. Any Eichel trade should get taken down because it is 100% a troll post. Just because your jealous and mad you aren't getting Eichel doesn't mean you have to get so mad about it. If the sabre fans don't want him to be traded then don't talk.
