I keep telling him Halak is going for 4+ somewhere as a starter. Think Lehner who had a great year or two (like Halak) and he went for 4.5

Only reason I say " he can " and not " he will " is because of the cap, whatever it stays flat or maybe go down. Otherwise, Halak will get $3-4M.

With a flat cap next season, I'm curious if Hall would consider a 1yr deal in order to "build value" for when the cap goes back up? Now of course IDK that Boston could even get him to fit on a 1yr deal. IDK, would Hall take a 1yr/$7-$7.5 million deal to play with someone like Krejci? Hall was a big Bruins fan and wears #4 because of Bobby Orr. Would he be willing to take 1yr of less money to chase a cup?

I would entertain this idea, espeically considering that the bruins could defintely have space this year, use Hall to win a cup, and then let Hall walk and have Krejci resign a smaller deal the next year (add like 12 million to spend on other guys)
