Re-signing Bow, L'Esperance would be iffy, Calderone likely not going to happen. I'd be ok with Perry but don't think likely, and would prefer to stay away from Frolik.

Last team I built on here, I also traded Faksa, but did so for a 2nd rd pick in this yr's deep draft. We could use more future assets after last year's buy & push. My team was labeled 'Poised' if want to see another approach.

Sure looks like the Blues don't have the cap space or the "need" to sign Pietrangelo. Yep Dallas looks like a good place for Pietrangelo...big cap next season and about "close" to his St Louis home
I do wonder how the Dallas creates cap for Heiskanen in the following season. Is Chabot at 8m a new norm for high end RFAs.
IMO there so few desirable destinations for Pietrangelo and so few teams with cap space and really question if a team like Dallas has to pay 9m in the leagues new salary structure. Would choices does Pietrangelo even at 8m?

I'm opposed to trading Faksa, but that's nothing new. I value a great defensive C above an injury-prone middle-6 LW we don't really need.

I agree with just about all of this here. Pietrangelo would be a great add and arguably give us the best d group in the league for a heat until we have to trade one of Lindell or Klingberg. Than the Heiskanen contract comes in and you’re looking at something like Chabots 8x8. I personally don’t like the Faksa/Johnsson trade for Dallas although it is fair but I’m bias to Faksa 😂 if Dallas can make it work though and grab their biggest rivals best player than I’m here for it

The only way to sign petro is to get heiskanen to take a 1 year bridge like Deangelo and have it lineup with the radulov and pavelski contracts expiring

Every mock of a "realistic landing spot" I see includes shedding like 6 million bucks. If everyone else has to do that to sign him, I don't think STL has lost their ability to retain him. Although I'll admit it should've been done by now (and light years before Faulk, Schenn, Blais, and Scandella got their money if we're being real) if he wanted to stay.
