Description
MTL can use a compliance buyout on Seabrook if they want that will awarded with the new CBA. MTL should also look into drafting good forwards in the upcoming drafts considering a chunk of forwards acquired through the trades below, probably won't come back when their contracts expire.

Chicago trade: kinda see your reasoning with the Seabrook thing but Chicago will never trade either of those two guys and can just buy out seabrook if the CBO thing comes true.
Jets trade: Jets decline
Jackets trade: Not sure why you want to give up on Poehling and KK for that little
Panthers trade: I am a Jets fan and trust me... KEEP JOEL he is so underrated and is one of the best bottom six players in the whole league in my opinion (can fit in nice on a second line as well)

Sure like Kane or Toews would waive for Montreal, You're at least $1.5 million over what the cap will likely be with 3 more players and zero cap. Yeah good luck on that one.

Columbus would jump all offer that... that’s a lot for a cap dump of alzner. Maybe replace KK for a middle 2nd and it’s a better trade for both trades.

Just to be clear, you prefer I keep KK and give up a 2nd instead?

Would you do the Jets trade if I replaced 1 of Danault/Domi with Kotkaniemi?

Its really hard to say. Scheifs is our franchise centre and I think he is capable of 100 point seasons so I would not do it but that is just me.

That's exactly what I thought about Price "he'd never waive to go to Chitown".

Joel Armia is the best 3rd line winger in the league, the Jets have really missed him, ugh I still hate that trade!

Dude I couldn't tell the difference between Armia, Copp and Lowry. But when MTL acquired him and watched him play regularly I was scratching my head why Chevy gave him up and tapping Bergevin's back at the same time. Same thing with Danault, lots of Hawks fans still bitter about Stan trading him.

When he was in Winnipeg he spent most of his time dragging Lowry around, at one point he was on a 4th line with Perreault and he and Perreault actually made Matt Hendricks look like a decent center.. Lol
I can only imagine how much better the Jets would have been had the 3rd line of been Copp centering Perreault and Armia.

He's a really underrated player, Bergevin did really well in that trade, Chevy blew that one big time.

Thats what I remember! Him playing 4th line. Bergevin loves these bottom 6 guys. So i didn't put too much emphasis on Armia I was just glad that we got picks for taking on the Mason cap dump. But low and behold Armia out of nowhere is starting to shine...sorry.

No... I’d rather have KK but that’s not a fair trade. If you switched KK for a 2nd it would be a fair trade.

Appreciate the honesty. But by now you know i love JA and I'd add all kinds of sweetners to have him. We're so small in MTL i hate having to play BOS so many times a year. Marchand doing his thing, Chara protecting him and Jacobs protecting Chara. It's hopeless. I need someone that stands up to Chara. I break the cycle this way.
