Description

This is what I was thinking on the Sharks side of the deal " Asking price for Meier".

Its kind of a all in approach, but SJ has a weak prospect pool. Other than Dahlen, the best you can hope for is a 3rd line guy. Defense looks a little better but Merkley's attitude might stall him. With the size of some of the veterans contracts, nobody will give Sharks anything in return for them without significant retained salary.

Because no owner is going to green light the trade for Jones, to do a compliance buyout for anything less.

Oh you're a wild fan, this all makes sense...
Then if a GM asks for Meier to get rid of Jones, Wilson hangs up. It's like if the Wild had Jones, would you package Fiala or kunin or Kaprizov to trade the contract? Didn't think so

If someone offered me a 1st and a middle six forward where the cap numbers made sense. I would definitely trade Kunin to dump Jones.
I get your point. I figured Meier would be tough to pry out of sharks hands, but I thought I would test the waters.
