Is Johnson even a 2C?

I think it's an overpay considering the situation Tbay will be in with RFA's, but I'd be looking more at Yanni Gourde than TJ as a 2C if I were the jets. To me they are similar players, but I think Gourde has a bigger upside with the potential of playing with Laine at C. Gourde hasn't bee playing C much this season, but the 2 prior he did.

Why Gourde? IVe been asking the question of why he's dropped off so much, but no one has really told me

Johnsson is the much better player. Looks back to the yearrs he had 70 points and dominated in the playoffs.

I think Gourde was more carried by others.

But the triplets line of a few years ago was probably one of the best second lines in hockey (Palat-Johnsson-Kucherov)
