You should always be busy at the deadline. Whether that is buying, selling, or some combo of the two there is no reason to ever sit still (unless you have a perfect team, which you dont, stop lying).

I don't hate it by Dubas. He put together a team that is vastly under performing. This team if failing him, and he shouldn't have to bail them out like that. The answer has to be in the room.

The room I think may be the probelm???. Ton of skill, but get out worked a lot of nights.
I do believ eit;s a fail if they don't make any moves here as Barrie is just going to walk next year and it's obvious they need some help defensively and Probably some more vertran leadership.

I agree, but we should still be selling Barrie. Just because you are a playoff team doesn't mean you aren't a seller. My theory is this:

If you take an honest look at your team, can you win the cup? The only wrong answer is 'I don't know.'
If the answer is yes, you should be buying. That could be rentals, that could be a hockey trade. If the answer is no, you should be selling pieces that don't fit into your plans long term.

For the Leafs, I think they are a good team, but not a full on cup contender (or at least moving Barrie would not hurt us depending on the return) so we should be moving Barrie. Try and use those assets to flip for another Dman (Brodin, Brodin, or Brodin) and plan for the future.

Don't disagree. Remember a few years ago The blue were a middling team in a playoff spot with Shattenkirk as a UFA. They rightly decided they weren't good enough and sold at the deadline.

This sums up what we should be doing and where we are perfectly... too bad Dubas doesn't get that.
